Creating a website requires following a regimented process. This process ensures that we deliver a quality product from start to finish. No guessing. It’s also a collaborative effort in which you’ll participate. Don’t worry. We make it easy. We walk you through each step along the way. When your website is finally delivered, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction knowing your website is professionally built.
Before we perform any work on your website, we set aside time with you to discover exactly what your business requirements are. This step is absolutely a must. We learn your goals, target audience and measures of success.
This is also the time we’ll review our development process and what to expect as we work together going forward. We strive to make the process easy and will be with you each step along the way.
At this stage, we begin gathering content from you. This includes images, logo, written copy, hosting account information — everything we need to develop your website. Your participation in this step is crucial! Any delay in gathering this content may impact the start of the project.
We also use this time to create a sitemap and wireframes. These drawings give you a sense of the site navigation and layout without the distraction of images, colors, and content that your final design would include.
Upon approval of the above, the design mock-ups are created. This is when your website visually becomes alive and things get exciting. These drawings will provide a more exact picture of what your website will look like. If minor revisions become necessary, we’ll revise the mock-ups and resubmit them to you for approval. This phase is completed with approval of your website design.
Content and design meet technology at this stage. The development of your website begins. This is where we’re heads-down, building-out your beautiful design. Features are built in to perform all of the behavior to bring your website alive.
During key milestones, we’ll give you a sneak peak of your website as it begins to mature. We create a punch list with you of small changes and drive towards a go-live date. Excitement builds as we can begin to see the end in sight.
This is the day we’ve been waiting for. Your website goes live! Behind the scenes we’re making the necessary technical changes to direct your visitors to the new website.
Once the dust settles, we spend some time training you and your staff to perform page changes and minor management tasks. At the same time, we deliver to you a client packet that includes all of the login credentials you need to manage your website.
Once the website has been launched, you’ll want to ensure that it continues to run smoothly for years to come. To that end, we offer care plans that provide monthly maintenance, software updates, backups, and more!
We can also assist you with your content strategy and make incremental improvements to the website to make sure that it continues to deliver a positive return on your investment.
