General
Yes. See who we work with.
Yes, we are experts in developing and maintaining WordPress websites, a content management system that is used behind about 30% of the websites on the Internet today. We believe that WordPress offers the best features and benefits to our clients verses other options. For more information about WordPress, visit the WordPress website.
If you have questions about this, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Depending on the size of the project, we limit ourselves to working on two concurrent projects at a time. Typically, one project is getting designed while the other project is in development. This workflow ensures that each person is working on only one project at a time. In this way, your website gets the total attention that it deserves.
Never fear, that's why we're here. We'll walk you through what to expect before we start the project and then, walk you through each step during the process. For an overview of our general development process, see our process.
Yes, we can. We understand that getting a new website can be daunting, especially if you're still developing a business identity. We work with designers who specialize in this area and can create branding styleguides, logo, and printed material that we can then incorporate into your website.
Yes we do. In fact, most of our clients are outside of Colorado. To date, our clients are located throughout the U.S. and Canada. But, we have no restrictions.
We use video conferencing software for client meetings in order to meet face-to-face. Although we're not meeting in person, video conferencing has proven to be a very effective method of developing working client relationships and managing the needs of the project. We think you'll find it a positive experience.
Let's start fresh
A website that returns value to your business is an investment like any other marketing effort. We price our work fairly based on this value and within the bounds of the competitive marketplace. We are not the lowest priced but we believe that our services are worth it.
The cost of a website can vary depending on various factors, just like the cost of a car may vary. Our website projects generally start in the $7,000 range for basic business sites and range upward depending on your unique needs.
There are many factors that go into quoting a project that can only be done after a discovery session is performed to flesh-out the exact requirements of your website. Some of these factors are explained in Chris Lema's article, Five reasons why similar-looking websites cost different amounts.
We always start with the question, "What is your budget for a new website?" This is not a trick question. It allows us to keep the conversation bounded by what we can do for you within this budget.
Typically, we rely on you to provide the written content, logo, and any company-specific images for your website. No one knows your business as well as you do and oftentimes much of the needed information is available from printed or other company materials.
However, if you find this task overwhelming or don't feel that you're best prepared to create this content, we can provide a copywriter who will help create the written content with you.
We also provide branding and logo creation services. So, if you find that you're starting from scratch, that's alright. We can help.
Creating a meaningful and effective website takes time (incorporating branding, creating content, designing and development, etc.). For an average website, you can expect two to three months. This, of course, depends on your time as well. Creating a website is a joint effort between us AND you. We will need a steady supply of web content throughout the project. Any delays in receiving this material can impact the delivery timeline.
Yes, you do. At the end of the project, we not only deliver your website, but we also provide you with all of the asset materials that we used to create the website (design files, images, logo, fonts, login credentials, etc.).
I have a design
Yes, but it depends. Can the website be implemented using the given design? Is the design adaptable for all browser views (e.g.: desktop, mobile, etc.)? Are the designs sufficiently detailed and provide font, colors, and other necessary details?
These are some of the questions that must be considered when taking on a new design. Let's chat further. We would love to help.
I need changes
We do this for many clients, but we qualify this with "it depends." Here are some of the factors to consider:
- We limit ourselves to working only on WordPress websites.
- We do not develop or maintain ecommerce websites. We can, however, refer you to web design businesses that do.
- How well is your current website coded? It's scary sometimes when we look behind the covers of some websites. After all, this is the reason we started FreshWeb — to create better websites.
Considering these factors, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss this further.
I need support
Of course! We develop working relationships with all of our clients which continues beyond just creating your website. We offer ongoing care plans just for the purpose of maintaining your website, giving you peace of mind knowing your website remains healthy and operational.
Within these plans, we perform periodic backups and ensure your website remains current with software updates, bug fixes, security patches, etc. These are just a few of the advantages of our care plans.
Let's talk about what we can do for you.
